Jackson the Robot
Is SEVEN YEARS OLD today! Well actually, he still has about 20 minutes left! Trust me.
What does the boy want for his birthday? Well being the simple easy going kid that Jack is he didn’t even talk about it, let alone nag us to death like Miss Abby did for months!! lol. Nor did he request anything specific. In fact, yesterday I was a little worried he was clueless and asked him if he knew the next day was his birthday. He responded with a calm and cool, “Yeah mom, I know.” Then didn’t say another word until last night as we were putting him in bed. He said to Nic, “Uh, there ARE going to be presents in the morning, right?” ROFL!
So this morning he woke up and of course Nic had to kick me out of bed to come watch because Jack couldn’t wait. Luckily, we hit the jackpot when he opened some Ironman toys and the wooden treasure chest we found for him. (I think Nic actually considered keeping the chest for himself. Childhood dream I guess. lol) Then, of course, he lost the key within a few short hours and now the chest is locked shut. Surprise, surprise.
So his plan was to spend the day in his pj’s and then hit up Sammie’s Pizza Buffet for dinner. Yeah, that didn’t work out so well. I finally convinced him to get dressed at about 1 pm. We needed a few things from the store and he compromised if we could go to Giant Eagle so he could hang in the play area for awhile. Alright. Then he told me to take my time, ha ha! Then we went to go to Sammie’s for dinner to find *gasp* that they had gone OUT OF BUSINESS! Are you kidding me?! That was a total buzzkill for poor Jack. After pulling him out of his depression, he decided on some cheese pizza at California Pizza Kitchen. We ate there, he was blessed with Legos from Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Mike, then he ran like a wild banchee for awhile in the mall play area. We picked up some Cinnabuns in place of a birthday cake (I love my kids!) and headed home. He then climbed a tree for awhile, came in for some watermelon and now we’re just hangin and waitin for Dad to get home. (I swear, someday I am going to go nuts on his office for keeping him so late!)
And if you have no idea what the title means, you must not have known Jack when he was 3. The kid has always been a riot! Love you Jack!

ha ha. Poor David! I think both the boys always thought they were the same age until just recently. They wouldn’t know any different since they’ve been buddies since they were BORN! lol
