In honor of Spring Cleaning.
Need some help for spring cleaning? Here’s some things that always get me motivated.
*I think this is a regular for most people: music. Blast something upbeat you can sing with and I can get moving! Of course, we tend to sometimes get distracted and just start dancing instead of cleaning, lol.
*Being angry. While I don’t promote purposely being angry, whenever I am I try to find something to scrub. It works it out! Of course, I have 3 kids that like to fight, so you would think my house would be sparkly clean. ha ha!
*Flowers. Of course, nice weather and open windows helps just about everyone. Flowers help me even more! So if I can’t find any to pick and bring in from outside, I go grab a cheap bouquet at the store. $5 worth of flowers is worth getting my kitchen wiped down and moped! lol.
*Something new to clean WITH. Maybe I’m weird. But I go buy a new $1 sponge or mix up a new citrus smelling cleanser, and Voila, I’m all excited to get using it!
*If all else fails, I invite someone new over. You never want their first look at your house to be the everyday clutter, right?! I can clean like nobody’s business when I have company coming!
My kids also get into helping too when you make it fun. I spray down the windows, hand them towels and walk away. They giggle and play, and wipe for a good 10 minutes. And since I use non-toxic stuff, I don’t have to worry about them being near it!
What are your tried and true spring cleaning motivators?

I personally prefer angry cleaning… (although I don’t reccomend picking a fight to get motivtion…
Some people take out their anger on a punching bag…I prefer scrubbing the tub.
However, I do not reccomend angry hedge trimming with power tools. I tried that yesterday and now all of my bushes are very small.
Sorry…back to the question. A real motivator for me is new organization items. Rubbermaids, baskets or shelves… Makes me wanna clean out and clean up.

When I’m mad I like to bust out the S.O.S pads and scrub all the grease off my pans. lol. They look brand new!
Good thing we don’t own power tools….lol….
