My day off!
So in 7 years I can not remember when I have had one entire day to myself! I mean, my husband is fantastic and let’s me run off whenever I need to. But I’ve never taken an ENTIRE DAY to do whatever I wanted….and it was well overdue.
I always knew I liked IKEA’s stuff from their website, but ever since I heard a new store was opening in West Chester (just north of Cincy) I’ve been soooo wanting to go. Well yesterday Nic took the day off work to watch the kids (best husband EVE-AH!) while my sis, her friend and I took a road trip to Ikea!
We spent a total of 5 hours in the store (3 hours, break for lunch and then 2 more) and I still feel like I missed stuff! Yeah, it’s THAT huge. And I totally fell in love. Lizzie actually smacked me a few times because I was so excited I was giggling and bouncing up and down! lol. But really, the majority of the day was me, wandering around with my coffee, taking my sweet pea time lounging on every piece of furniture I found and pretending to redecorate my house. Of course, the tightwad that I am only spent $40 and it was on pillows, and storage! lol. I did get tons of ideas though and will more then likely go back, you know, to actually BUY something after we move.

Was that a comment or a question? If it was a question…then no, I actually also ate a hot meal by myself, drank too much coffee, and took pictures of the furniture too….SMART ALLIC!
